Bitcoin News, Read Inside the App

Following Bitcoin news usually means bouncing between a dozen websites and their cookie banners. BTC Mate brings the headlines and the articles into one calm reading view.

Short answer: BTC Mate includes a native Bitcoin news reader. Headlines from several publishers appear in the News tab, and tapping one opens the article's text and images inside the app rather than in a browser. Each article is attributed to and links to its original publisher; BTC Mate does not write the news.

How the news reader works

  • Sources. Headlines are gathered from established Bitcoin and financial publishers, currently including Bitcoin Magazine, Cointelegraph, The Block, Decrypt, NewsBTC and Reuters. Filter by source or show all.
  • Native reading. Opening an article extracts its text and supported images and shows them in BTC Mate's own reader, with the publisher named at the top. You can still open the original page in Safari, share it or copy the link.
  • Latest, popular and rumours. Sort by recency, by what is being widely covered, or by stories that are still unconfirmed and labelled as such.
  • Top story. The most covered story of the moment sits at the top of the tab.

Upcoming events

The News tab shows the next scheduled market event with a countdown, and a calendar of upcoming ones: central-bank rate decisions, inflation and jobs reports, and Bitcoin-specific dates such as the next halving. These are dates that often move the price; the app shows them, it does not predict the reaction.

Selected social updates

A People view shows recent posts from a small, curated set of accounts on X that follow Bitcoin closely, displayed inside the app. It is a supporting feature for context alongside the news, not a social network and not a replacement for X.

Attribution and what BTC Mate is not

BTC Mate is the reader, not the author. Every article and image belongs to its publisher, is shown with the publisher's name and links back to the original page. BTC Mate does not produce journalism, does not alter articles and does not claim ownership of third-party content. Publishers may change how their articles can be displayed; where extraction is not possible, the app opens the original page.

Market data alongside the news

The Insights tab keeps the numbers next to the headlines: current price with 24-hour, 7-day, 30-day and 1-year change, market cap, volume, BTC dominance, distance from the all-time high and the Fear and Greed index, plus a full chart with drawing tools. None of this is a recommendation to buy or sell; BTC Mate shows information and cannot trade.
